Online sign ups for abbreviated Second Quarter Mentoring Ham License prep sessions at Old Fire Station 77 are going on now. Just go to www.lafdacs.org and look down to the 3rd block on the center of the Home Page and click "enroll now."
This course is slated for 9-11 am on Saturdays May 20, 27 and June 3rd (FCC test date TBD).
The FCC Exam Question Pool along with other helpful downloads and course materials are posted off the lafdacs home page through the Third Quarter Mentoring page (the Q2 page will soon be updated with the same resource marterials).
Many of our new graduates of the Red Cross ER Course recently held at OFS77s have enrolled in the course. Also, 20 of them have already been sworn in as General Volunteers for the LAFD and will work side-by-side with ACS Members at the 50+ Jamboree and March of Dimes in late April.
Welcome to all of our New LAFD Volunteers and we look forward to meeting our new ham licensee candidates in May!
