History Made!
On Monday, February 6, 2005 at 17:30 hrs. Horace Pennman (KI6AMG) ran the LAFD ACS Monday Night Net at the Community and Neighbors for Ninth District Unity Center (CANNDU) in South Los Angeles.
The idea was the brainchild of Division II Communications Unit Leader Alberto Casanova (KF6UXT). Division II is in charge of the Net for the month of February.
Pennman, who was inducted as the 100th Member of the LAFD ACS in 2003, serves with Joe Turner (KI6BYW) as a CERT Battalion 13 Coordinator.
